Fear Factor: The 2016 Elections Edition 



President Jacob Zuma suggested in Parliament on Thursday that there was a sinister force behind the burning of schools in Vuwani, Limpopo. “It looks suspicious,” Zuma said. Fear and paranoia are major campaign tools of political parties ahead of the local government elections. The ANC is ringing alarm bells about sinister forces attempting to destabilise the country and the DA is drumming up fears about the EFF’s extremism. The EFF says voters who do not support them would only have themselves to blame for the country’s downfall through ANC rule. It’s political warfare defined by the sum of all our fears. House Speaker dumps Trump


US Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, has said that he cannot endorse the Orange Menace. Joining a chorus of Republican leaders voicing their distrust of Donald Trump, Ryan noted, "He's got some work to do." An early general election poll showed Clinton over 10% ahead of Trump, causing some minor GOP panic. Read more
 
















RHCP album to drop in June


Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced their first new album in five years. 'Getaway' will drop on 17 June, replete with a new world tour later in the year. A single from the album has already been released, so keep an eye out for 'Dark Necessities'. Read more
 
















Liverpool soars to Europa final


Liverpool has defeated Villarreal 3-0 to progress into the Europa finals, where they will face Sevilla. Daniel Sturridge's magical boot had a hand in all three goals, and he scored his 12th in the process. Read more
